Amen. Another great read about the turning away of hungry sheep for the much needed space to fit the culture.

I’m afraid so many of our churches have turned into Peyton Places, and Christ is hard to find.

Omgoodness!!! I can so relate to this. I could write pages... Thankfully I have finally been lead to a healthy balanced church. But whew, the journey was heart wrenching at times.

True I have several friend who still drool over every prophetic word and wait to get rich, healed, famous, whatever the prophecy said. I believe Holy Spirit speaks, but not quite that way. And, the prophetic should not be our focus, scripture and Jesus should be.

This is a wonderful example of why we currently have 45,000 Christian denominations. We've turned worship towards ourselves, and forgotten that it is about the Eucharist--giving thanks. Everything that comes as a result is good for it is being done for God.
